Bridge located @ 342 Old Cullowhee Rd. Locust Creek Access on the Tuckaseigee River.
OVERVIEW: Managed by Jackson County Parks and Recreation (JCPR), "The Greenway" is a paved walkway along the Tuckaseigee River in Cullowhee, NC. 342 Old Cullowhee Rd. Parking, and toilets are available at each trail head. This is a spot for a relaxing walk or run along the river. The cool air coming off the dam released river water is amazing when it's warm out!. Plenty of benches and a handful of picnic tables for chilling out with a friend. In the middle of this one mile trail is a cool little pump track for kids practicing mountain biking.
SAFETY TIPS:
This is a 911 area with decent cell service throughout.
The walkway is not lit for evening travel.
Lots of different kinds of users here. Kids learn to ride bikes and roller blade here.
Swim at your own risk.
Life Jackets are provided by JCPR on limited basis.
Gotta plan to pick up dog poop here if you walk your canine.
This is not a place for overnight camping.
